The electric scooter market in India  has gained significant momentum this year, with various brands introducing  electric vehicle models at  various price  points. Established motorcycle manufacturers are now focusing on this sector, including Honda,  TVS and Suzuki, who are  said to be working on  electric vehicle models  expected for  early 2025.  As Bharat  approaches Mobility Global Expo  2025, announcements  on at the launch of new electric  scooters. in  Pritet India. This article highlights three  highly anticipated electric scooters  that are expected to  hit the market in the coming months.  Let’s dive in. 


Honda Activa EV Honda  plans to  launch India’s first electric  scooter, the Honda Activa EV, in March 2025.  Specifications The Honda Activa EV may  share similarities with the Activa 110 and  may have two  interchangeable Honda Mobile Power  packs. The scooter  may also include a  touchscreen digital  dashboard as well as keyless start and stop functionality.  It should offer a range of over 100 km on a full charge.


The expected price in India  Activa EV is  expected to  cost around Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom),  placing it as a competitor to the Ola S1, TVS  iQube and Ather 450.  Honda’s electric scooter may  debut at the  ‘Bharat Mobility Global Expo in January  2025. in New Delhi.  TVS Jupiter EV TVS is  expected to  launch two electric models  in the next six  months: one for the B2B market and the other potentially an electric version of the popular TVS Jupiter.
Specifications The Jupiter EV is  expected to be a  mainstream scooter suitable for daily  commutes, with a range of  around 70-80 km per charge. 


Expected Price in India This electric scooter is expected to  cost less than Rs 1 lakh (ex-showroom). 
Suzuki Burgman EV According to Gaadiwaadi,  Suzuki’s first electric scooter  could be the Burgman EV,  with production expected to  begin in December 2024. Suzuki has set an annual sales target of 25,000 units for the Burgman EV.  Specifications While  early reports suggested a  removable battery,  the Burgman EV is now expected  to have a fixed battery. Detailed specifications are yet to be  revealed.


Expected  price in India Codenamed XF091, the scooter is expected to debut at the Bharat Mobility Global Expo 2025 in January,  although pricing information has not  been revealed.
