How 2 VIT Students Built a Viral AI Tutor Used by 50,000 Students for Just ₹199

Two college students from VIT Vellore built an AI tutor that 50,000 Indian students now use daily. EaseLearn AI costs ₹199 per month, about 75 times cheaper than traditional coaching.
EaseLearn works differently. Students point their camera at any textbook problem and get step-by-step explanations in Hindi or English, aligned to their curriculum.
Since launching in December 2024, the startup grew entirely through word of mouth. They spent ₹0 on marketing yet have 50,000 users and a 13.3% conversion rate.

 

The platform also offers voice-based learning, doubt-solving conversations, and personalized learning paths based on each student’s strengths and weaknesses. Schools are beginning to explore EaseLearn as a hybrid learning companion alongside classroom teaching.
With rising coaching costs across India, solutions like EaseLearn AI are making quality education more accessible to middle-income families. The startup is now working on expanding to more state boards and competitive exam preparation.
